A major upgrade at Frank Bourke Oval is now complete, delivering a new Community Pavilion and Changeroom Pavilion that will support local sport and strengthen one of regional Victoria’s most significant sporting precincts.
Member for Wendouree Juliana Addison MP joined City of Ballarat Mayor Cr Tracey Hargreaves and local sporting representatives to officially open the facilities.
Funded through a $5 million Victorian Government investment, with additional support from the City of Ballarat, the project provides modern, inclusive and accessible facilities for players, officials, volunteers and spectators.
The new pavilions feature:
• Four changerooms with amenities
• Umpire changerooms with amenities
• A social space and meeting room
• Kitchen facilities and a veranda
• Dedicated storage areas
The upgraded infrastructure will support clubs including the North Ballarat Football and Netball Club and North Ballarat Cricket Club, while also enhancing the Ballarat Major Events Precinct’s ability to host state and national sporting events.
A fantastic outcome for local sport, community participation and the future of the precinct.
